David and Marilyn are pleased to welcome you to ‘Bybeck’ Bed and Breakfast. Bybeck is located in Grange-in-Borrowdale in the heart of the Borrowdale valley. The house rests at the end of the famous double arched stone bridge which crosses the River Derwent, a popular beauty spot that has become an iconic Lakeland view. Grange is located within Wainwright’s most beautiful square mile. We are surrounded by outstanding Lakeland views; north to Skiddaw, west to Cat Bells and Maiden Moor; south to Castle Crag and through Borrowdale to the high fells and east to Grange Fell. These offer challenging and spectacular walks. There are many more gentle rambles around Derwentwater or along the River Derwent. For the water enthusiast there is canoeing, kayaking and rowing or a pleasurable ride on one of the lake boats - you might even spot a Roe Deer or the beautiful red Squirrel. We are five miles away from the market town of Keswick and there is a shuttle bus every half hour in the summer months and every hour in winter. There are also several places nearby for evening meals.
